October 24th, 2016 - "Hurricane" by Gabe Neal
Director, DP, Editor
This is the second music video that I shot and edited with artist Gabe Neal. This shoot took place in a local Atlanta music studio and was my first experience working with a traditional producer and booking rep for the artist.

August 13th, 2016 - Hulk Hands
Director, DP, Editor
Continuing the trend of making funny short films starring my group of friends, I created Hulk Hands using lightsaber effects, movie makeup, and some of the most powerful story telling in cinematic history. I also premiered this short in a local movie theater and drew a large crowd of friends and family!

I created this parallax video for FAIR Vodka, a company that creates vodka and other kinds of spirits with quinoa. Used in their online advertising campaign this video quickly went on to reach over 1 million views!

Lava lamps are super awesome and I thought it would make the perfect subject for an ambient kind of video. Not much else to say!

This video shows a glimpse of the hard times Tiger deals with on a daily basis. He's quite the actor!

June 11th, 2015 - "Save Me"
Camera, Editor
This is my first music video I filmed and edited with artist Livi McGill. As one of my bigger freelance projects, it allowed me much more freedom creatively, specifically editing style and color grading. This is also my first video shot in 4k (on the GH4 for all you camera people) and definitely taught me some lessons post production wise.

This video is a highlight spot of all the exciting things Eddie Owen Presents at The Red Clay Music Foundry has to offer! I completed this during my internship at EOP during my Fall 2014 semester at KSU through the Joel A. Katz Music and Entertainment Business Program.

November 9th, 2014 - A Grand Day In
Director, Camera, Editor
I've always been interested in doing a horror film and so far this is the closest I've gotten. While this isn't necessarily a genuine horror short, I certainly creeped myself out while I was editing it... alone... at night. Here's to more scary videos to come!

October 19th, 2014 - Hoeye Wedding
2nd Camera, Asst. Editor
As my second freelance video and my first wedding video, this project was another collaboration/team effort representing the start of many more to come. As B-Camera operator and assistant editor, I gained further experience with renting gear, working on a budget, and making filming decisions on the fly as this event progressed.

August 19th, 2014 - KSU AOII Recruitment
2nd Camera, Asst. Editor
This is my first freelance video and the start of many more to come. Up until now all of my non-work related videos have been comedy sketches with friends or class projects. While I learned a lot from each one, I didn't quite get the experience of working on a budget or collaborating with a partner behind the camera and the computer. I had an awesome experience filming this and very much enjoyed how it was a team effort.

June 17th, 2014 - Monday: Part 2
Director, Camera, Editor
My distaste for Mondays is so strong that I felt one video wasn't enough to portray my attitude. Not much more needs to be said.

April 17th, 2014 - hEar
Director, Camera, Editor
This is a video project I did for my Music and Entertainment Business class during the Spring 2014 semester. The objective of the project was to advertise a product using powerful images and sound. My product was a hearing aid I made up, and this video challenged me to think about how to film things which represented sound.

January 21st, 2014 - Almost Superheroes
Director, Camera, Editor
Even though it was released in early 2014, this video was filmed during my freshman year of college (late 2011/early 2012) and was intended to be a full length movie. Currently I'm working on expanding this idea to include more characters and to make a video that builds on the foundation that "Almost Superheroes" laid.

January 8th, 2014 - After a Burrito
Director, Camera, Editor
A tie-in to "Dorito Burrito", this video sees its protagonist in distress from a less-than-nutritious breakfast. Characteristically, "After A Burrito" is similar to some of my other videos but this time I put in more effort to plan out shots, and I experimented with time-lapse and After Effects.

November 18th, 2013 - Dorito Burrito
Director, Camera, Editor
Based on an inside joke, this loosely written improv/parody video embraces the intentionally awkward delivery and editing style. Most of my videos I currently do feature my group of close friends and are based off of our jokes and everyday happenings.

September 23rd, 2013 - Monday
Director, Camera, Editor
Coming off an almost two year hiatus from releasing videos, "Monday" saw me equipped with better equipment and two years of filming, lighting, and editing experience from my time as a student assistant at KSU's Video Production department. Everyone knows Monday is the worst day of the week so this video is by no means an exaggeration of how we all feel when that alarm clock goes off.

January 9th, 2012 - A Christmas Miracle
Director, Camera, Editor
After a little less than a year of not working with one of my core actors from high school, "A Christmas Miracle" is a return to form for both of us. It was easy to slip back into the swing of things and make something that had a similar feel to our older videos.

November 28th, 2011 - Student Vs College
Director, Camera, Editor
My first video in college, "Student Vs College" was a video I did for a group presentation in my freshmen intro class. The message in this one is that you can't run away from your problems; eventually you have to face them head-on even if they are wearing ridiculous face masks.

September 14th, 2011 - Devil's Kitchen
Director, Camera, Editor
This video was an entry into the the Young Arts Film competition. What it had going for it was an actual set that helped make the story feel authentic and some pretty funny acting. I didn't end up winning but we had fun making it and the ending still makes me laugh.
*The original release date was much earlier but I re-edited it after the competition and released it on this date.

Shot completely during Thanksgiving weekend, Nerf Wars: Origins set the stage for the events that later transpire in Nerf Wars.

August 11th, 2011 - Blast From The Past
Director, Camera, Editor
Starring me and me-from-the-past, "Blast From The Past" is a solo effort. I was lucky that I had some actual '90s props and could do a decent imitation of the stereotypical grunge teen from that time period. Also in reality, I'm awful at Battle Toads and have never beaten it.

August 10th, 2011 - The Promblem
Director, Camera, Editor
Prom season in high school is a time of nerves, awkward expressions of emotion, and fear of rejection. With this video I wanted to make fun of the idea that asking a simple question can be scary and, potentially, go horribly wrong. With the help of some close friends in front of and behind the camera, The Promblem went on to be aired on my high school's Morning News show.

July 6th, 2011 - Skarzag
Director, Camera, Editor, Voices
With the added benefit of having an awesome LEGO set as inspiration, Skarzag is probably the video that represents my sense of humor the best: it's random, cheesy, and stuffed with references. I did all the voice work myself and used a green screen lit with home-made lights consisting of a lampshade lined with aluminum foil taped to a heavy duty flashlight.

May 15th, 2011 - Nerf Wars 2 Trailer
Director, Camera, Editor
With a forty page screenplay, a budget to build a major set, actors over the age of ten, and a shooting schedule, Nerf Wars 2 turned out to be a major endeavor. Unfortunately due to budget issues (funded by my allowance from mowing the lawn and other household chores) and scheduling conflicts, Nerf Wars 2 never got past a few scenes of filming, but I realized I could at least put together a trailer from the footage and try to make something out of it.

May 8th, 2011 - Kitchen Helper
Director, Camera, Editor
Again featuring my two close friends, "Kitchen Helper" sees us having fun with telling a simple story about a robber being hoodwinked into cooking food for a party.

April 23rd, 2011 - Vessel of Fortunes
Director, Camera, Editor
This is where I feel like I started to hit my stride in terms of writing and filming. Also I was lucky to be friends with people who were awesome actors and willing to try out new things. Complete with costumes, props, and set decoration, "Vessel of Fortunes" is where I started to move out of the "I'm bored so I'll make a video" mindset to "I have this joke I want to tell so I'll make a video."

March 30th, 2011 - Oedipus The King Trailer
Director, Camera, Editor
Now that I had been making videos for about a year word started to spread that it was something I was relatively decent at. My friend asked me for help with an English project and we sat down and worked through a script. I was going for dual story lines with this one: black and white represented flashbacks while color represented present time. As the video progresses the two story lines eventually meet and result in a masterfully choreographed fight sequence.

March 6th, 2011 - BigLittle Brothers: My Coke
Director, Camera, Editor
The second installment of BigLittle Brothers, "My Coke" is very similar to the first episode in that something is taken from me and I want it back. Also I feel like this could double as a Coca-Cola commercial.

March 5th, 2011 - BigLittle Brothers: Cookie War
Director, Camera, Editor
As the pilot episode to what I wanted to be an ongoing web series, BigLittle Brothers: Cookie War sees me trying to establish myself in terms of tone and sense of humor. As is apparent in most of my videos, I like to take simple complications and pair them with super intense music.

December 28th, 2010 - The BadWord Exterminator
Camera, Editor
Featuring Mort Interesting and Chico McSweatback, this infomercial parody is another collaboration video that sees the two of us at our most (intentionally) awkward.

November 3rd, 2010 - Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Commercial
Director, Camera, Editor
I took two years of Culinary Instruction classes in my last two years of high school and to help raise money for the program we would bake and sell Otis Spunkmeyer cookies to students after school. In order to help advertise and increase sales I offered to make a commercial, and with the help of many willing and able extras this video was born.

June 2nd, 2010 - Movie Review: The Tooth Fairy
Camera, Editor
I remember watching The Tooth Fairy and thinking, "I need to make a video about how awful this is." Similar to my other podcasts, this was mostly improvisation and consisted of me by myself in front of a camera. After a while I realized that I had more fun telling stories and made a shift from podcasts to narratives.

May 30th, 2010 - Nerf Wars
Director, Camera, Editor
Here is where we come to what I consider my first "movie." What originally started out as a short Nerf Gun war video eventually expanded and became the beast that is Nerf Wars. Complete with characters, an actual story with plot twists and a cliff-hanger ending, Nerf Wars is what started it all for me.

May 28th, 2010 - Real Life Stop-Motion
Camera, Editor
As an experimental video this is me once again in the clutches of boredom. I know that seems to be the case with most of my early videos but like I already mentioned, I didn't know that this is what I wanted to do with my life. All I knew was that thinking of funny things to film and edit was satisfying.

February 28th, 2010 - Snack Romance
Actor, Asst. Editor
A parody of dating shows and the start of an ongoing collaboration between me and my good friend, "Snack Romance" means a lot to me. Back then we worked with what we had and our motto was "Make it work."

January 24th, 2010 - Home Alone Podcast
Camera, Editor
The second entry in my podcast series, "Home Alone" is a collection of me doing different shenanigans around the house. I had a lot of fun doing my first podcast and was hopeful that I could turn it into an ongoing series. At this point making videos was just a way for me to kill time; I didn't realize that film and video work was my passion. Also, pardon my dancing.

January 16th, 2010 - First Podcast
Camera, Editor
My first live action video attempt, "First Podcast" shows me rambling in front of a camera. And surprisingly I only reach the "Almost Unbearable" category of awkwardness. Either way this video brings back memories and was the product of me being inspired by other YouTube Pod Casters.

July 19th, 2009 - Man's Worst Friend
Director, Camera, Editor
Shot on my Nintendo DSi and edited in Windows Movie Maker, it's a miracle this video even exists. I don't remember what made me want to make this and after a few years I forgot I even made it. As the original video on this timeline, "Man's Worst Friend" marks the beginning of a big change in my life.
